HUMOR:  G4TV to Play 1,230 Cancelled NHL Games
Posted Saturday, September 25 2004 somewhere around 2PM by John

I'm not a big hockey fan, but it's got merit now and then. G4TV (that video game channel) has announced that in protest of the cancellation of the 2004-2005 NHL season, it will simulate every single matchup using video games and report the results on one of its daily shows. Comcast SportsNet will carry some of the highlights. Sounds clever to me.

There are four satellites, one center channel, and a sub. 5.1 Dolby Digital w/ 51 watts. Two year warranty. [Review]

Make sure you add it to your cart from Amazon.com (sometimes on the right sidebar) and not TigerDirect, as I do not trust TD. That company has been sneaky and dishonest to me on several occasions, and I never want to see one of you guys get burned by them.

NEWS:  Sony To Add MP3 Support (Finally)

Sony has decided that it actually wants to support real users and sell digital music players rather than release them for folks to scorn. Yup, after years of editorial abuse, Sony is finally moving to MP3 support for future hardware releases. I bet it sucked to work in a marketing department forced to try and push their lousy ATRAC format.
    NEWS:  Leather Manager Chair Recall
Posted Wednesday, September 22 2004 somewhere around 8PM by John
    Talk Back! (0)

Well, it's not really a recall, but who's going to read a post about replacement parts? Kudos to Joe for forwarding me a link to this U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Alert. I've recommended these chairs in the past - in fact, I'm sitting in one right now. They're excellent computer chairs. The jist of this alert is that the legs might break, so if you bought one prior to April 2004 with model numbers 795-0115 or 795-0228, just call (888) 833-4148 and they'll mail you out a new base to pop on. It took me about a minute to call and give them my address. Again, still a great chair - especially when I find deals on them for $40 (and not "sold for $100") like that recall notice mentions!
